Meet The Artist
My involvement in the creative industry began after I graduated as an
Interior Designer and worked in an architectural firm for a few years before
setting up my own practice.
Very much later I became an assistant to my ageing father who was an
independent Film producer and I had the opportunity to be involved in a
number of television programs such as drama series, cooking and cultural
documentary magazines as Coordinator or Co- Producer. In between projects
I furthered my studies and obtained a Bachelors as well as a Masters degree
in Art and Design.
Creativity went a little wild when I also created a new roasted chicken
recipe and sold them during Ramadhan for a few years.
I had always dreamt to paint in acrylic and become an independent artist
and in 2021 I finally gathered enough courage and bought the canvases ,
brushes and the paints that I needed for this new adventure . I have always
been fascinated by traditional batik and it became the theme for my first
collection of Birds of Paradise so often depicted in traditional batik sarongs
but went unnoticed by many. I felt it is time for the birds to be given a new
introduction.
