About The Artwork

The birth of Batikism begins here with Wayang Kulit Kelantan, where tradition is not replicated but reimagined through a contemporary visual language inspired by batik. This work marks the first expression of a new artistic philosophy—one that transforms Malaysian heritage into rhythm, symbolism, and layered storytelling, bridging the past with a living, evolving present.
