About The Artwork

The design takes into account environmental factors and the tropical climate, such as raised structures on stilts for better ventilation and protection from floods. The spatial layout also reflects the customs and cultural values of the community. Its construction uses intelligent traditional techniques, such as wooden joinery without nails, along with natural materials like timber and clay that are durable and environmentally friendly.

The uniqueness of traditional Perak houses lies in their finely detailed wood carvings and the elegant of Limas roof forms. The design often demonstrates a balance between function and aesthetics, with clear influences from royal architecture, giving it a refined and distinctive identity. In addition, the delicate carvings and craftsmanship make these houses not only structurally strong, but also beautiful and highly valuable as works of art.
