About The Artwork

A massive tree limb with its sweeping branches and lush foliage cradling the traditional Serambi House of Pahang. A poetic double meaning connecting the massive tree limb to the deep historical roots of Pahang heritage.

Meet The Artist

Shanur ‘Ain

Shanur ‘Ain was born in 1971 in Kuala Lumpur. She was trained as an architect and interior designer after receiving Bachelor of Architecture in 1998. At the end of 2023 she decided to pursue art as a full-time career despite not having a formal art education.

Her artistic work style often focus on “semi-abstract art” and “semi-abstract landscape” often exploring themes of nature, trees, sunshine, waterfalls and Malaysian heritage. “Colour is the key to happy paintings”, and that’s what her clients love. It is her goal to bring beauty and happiness into people’s lives. She brings landscapes to life in acrylic on the canvas, capturing the light, movement and the magic of nature. She has exhibited her artwork at various venues, including The Curve, Mutiara Damansara and The Ledge One Utama in Malaysia.
