About The Artwork

“My Beloved Malaysia” highlights the country’s iconic landmarks that are KLCC, Menara Maybank, The Exchange TRX, and the Kuala Lumpur Tower which all adorned with Malaysian batik motifs, a cherished national art form. Also featured is the Rafflesia as the world’s largest flower, found deep within Malaysia’s rainforests, which is rare, gigantic, and truly fascinating. Alongside these are the tapir and the sun bear, Malaysia’s animal mascots. On the left stands a young woman who deeply appreciates the beauty and serenity of life in a multi-ethnic nation, amidst its rich flora, fauna, and natural landscapes.

Meet The Artist

Nafeesah

Nafeesah Al Hawra’ is a 11 year old from Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.
Viewing the world through her unique lens, she often challenges the ordinary with sparking
thoughtful conversations and bold ideas. Rather than debating with words, she usually pours her perspective into her art.

From a very young age, she’s been deeply drawn to colors, often spending her free
time immersed in coloring. As a kinesthetics learner drawing is one way to calm herself
down after doing various daily activities. The way she see things daily makes her art
more vibrant hence she draws whimsical buildings, playful scenes and everything in
between. As she takes her daily life easy, that’s how she interpreted those to her
creations with happy thoughts and happy hues too. Each creation invites others to see
the world as she does, vibrant, layered and full of meaning.

Among her highest achievements so far, one of her artwork was selected for ParaArt
Tokyo. 2025. On the same year as well, 4 of her artworks were selected by Caring
Pharmacy Malaysia alongside with her brother, Zayn to be in the Caring Pharmacy
2026 calendar. Some of her paintings were sold during the exhibition at Art+Being
Gallery which is “Everybody Wants To Be A Peacock”, also during the exhibition
Treasures of the Nanhai Dream, A Garden Of Voices at SAMA SAMA Hotel as well as
during other exhibition too. The most recent exhibition that she participated was
Shared Horizons which was held at Banggunan Sultan Abdul Samad, Kuala Lumpur.
